Aisling Bea
Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian, who's been performing for a long time. Born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea's professional career started in 2011, as a stand-up comedian, following her appearance in a few parts on Irish and British TV shows that began in the year 2009. Bea began performing frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms later in the year. In the wake of her success during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was booked for a variety of panel programs. In 2016, and in 2017, she was a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her include Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she became the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian died at the age of three. He was an equine vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death before she reached the age of 13. To honor the man she loved, Bea adopted the stage name Bea and in 2017, wrote an article about suicides in her family for The Guardian. Bea was fostered by her sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer as well as a former professional racer. The family was obsessed with race meetings as well as horses. When she was a child, Bea worked as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a career and instead enjoyed performing.
